In 1978, a 16 years old boy spent his summer holidays at his parents garden obsessed with creating a machine of hatching eggs with better performance than their own chickens. When the chicks were born healthy, and in half the time, we went to his father and said “Dad, I’m going to be the inventor of the world’s best weathering machines”.
The little boy was João Araújo and 7 years later he founded ARALAB.

Aralab gest its first order for a Climatic Chamber. The first Aralab unit was installed at the Lisbon University of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
After hundreds of climatic chambers built and installed in Portugal the first move abroad happens with the University of Compostela in Spain.
The first of many to come.
Aralab was able to build a very good reputation in Portugal and Spain as a high quality manufacturer. Reputable multinational companies were already using Aralab equipment and some sales had already happened outside southern europe. No reason to stop.
Aralab grew steadily but the economical crisis reached Europe and namely the ‘southern countries’ where most of Aralab customers were.
