PHENOTYPING IN PLANT GROWTH CHAMBER

Plant Phenotyping helps to analyse, determine or predict all or part of plant phenotype – the expressed traits of a plant, as influenced by genetic make-up and changes in the environment. This ability and knowledge of these traits is a vital process in crop improvement programs. An Aralab customer – ORO AGRI – develops and manufactures patented products for agricultural, home and industrial applications worldwide, specializing in products that are safe to the user and environment, and that will provide an effective, yet a residue-free solution. Product categories include adjuvants, pesticides, soil conditioners and foliar feeds. Aralab Plant Growth Chambers, with the integration of a Phenospex Phenotyping system, allows Oro Agri to better understand the reaction of plants to the products that are being developed, by analysing parameters such as Biomass, Plant height, Leaf area, Leaf inclination, Leaf Angle, Light penetration, among many other variables.
CROP IMPROVEMENTS WITH AGTECH RESEARCH

Understanding how certain crops react to different light wavelengths in different stages of plant development is key. The knowledge can be used to strengthen rooting, biomass or flowering. Most of our customers in the AgTech industry use our chambers to understand how to maximize crop yields while conserving water and land resources.
MICROALGAE GROWTH, RESEARCH AND CONSERVATION

Marine phytoplankton (mainly composed of microalgae) is essential for sea ecosystems, as it is the base of the food chain, and co-responsible for oxygen production to our planet. But under specific environmental conditions, some groups of microalgae can proliferate uncontrollably, giving rise to the so-called Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB’s). Given the importance and frequency of these natural phenomena, @IPMA has a collection of marine microalgae to deepen knowledge of the ecophysiological processes associated with the production of toxins, and the profile of these toxins associated with different phytoplankton species and mechanisms of accumulation and elimination in organisms. PLANT GROWTH HOST-PARASITE INTERACTIONS

Plant growth chambers at the Research Center for Ecology, Evolution and Climate Change. Study of plant-mite interactions for analysis of plant defenses and direct / indirect interactions between different species of mites.
COMBINED VIBRATION AND CLIMATIC TESTING

Turnkey project for combined vibration temperature tests. The climate chamber moves on an automated platform allowing tests to be carried out with horizontal, vertical or no vibrator attached.
CLIMATIC GROWTH CHAMBER FOR RESEARCH IN FOREST BIOTECHNOLOGY

A special environmental growth room for applied research in forest biotechnology. Supporting world-renowned customers and scientists to develop more sustainable solutions for the forestry and biomass-related industries. Special LEDs, remote and time-lapse viewing of plant growth, automated irrigation and improved drying capacity are just some of its special features.
PSYCHROMETRIC CHAMBERS

Psychrometric Test Rooms designed to aid in the development, performance evaluation and efficiency of Air Conditioning, Gas Boilers and Heat Pump solutions. Usually implemented in sets of two chambers, allowing simulation of “Indoor” and “Outdoor” conditions of Temperature, Humidity and Air Velocity, independently controlled. Related Testing Standards: DIN EN 14511 | DIN EN 14825 | DIN EN 16147 ISO 5151 | ISO 13253 JIS B 8615-1 ASHRAE 41.1 | ASHRAE 41.2 | ASHRAE 41.3 | ASHRAE 41.6 Aralab TESTING – Psychrometric Test Rooms for Air conditioners and Heat pumps
PLANT RESEARCH CABINETS FOR LED RESEARCH

Set of 3 reach-in chambers equipped with LEDs of different spectrum to analyze the impact of different wavelengths on the different stages of plant development.
AUTOMOTIVE ‘DRIVE-IN’ ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMBER

Drive-in chamber for the automotive industry for testing extreme environmental conditions.
TISSUE CULTURE ROOMS

Set of controlled environment chambers for in-vitro cultures. The adoption of white LED lights makes it possible to reduce heat in the growing area, reducing both crop condensation and cooling requirements.
